The girl in the logo was drawn by J. Howard Miller, while he was employed by Westinghouse. It was used for WWII posters by the War Production Co-ordinating Committee. She isn’t actually Rosie the Riveter, though most people think she is.

The RSS link girl was a pin-up drawn by Alberto Vargas in 1947. More Vargas images.
